In order to make this happen with your contribution, we are hiring for the following role:
The Business Unit Director reports directly to the DePuySynthes Lead Germany and leads a team of Sales Managers, Business Development Managers as well as the Marketing Shoulder and Sports Medicine Department.
- Sales, marketing and profit responsibility for Shoulder and Sports Medicine businesses
- Profit and Loss responsibilities, as well as Business Plan creation
- Lead implementation of commercial Shoulder and Sports Medicine strategy and tactics in Germany in alignment with Global and Regional strategy
- Shaping Shoulder and Sports Medicine businesses and market
- Collaboration with Regional and Global Shoulder and Sports Medicine franchises
- Customer Plans, Customer Ownership, Customer Initiatives and KOL Management
- Price negotiations for Shoulder and Sports Medicine accounts in alignment with other MD business units (when applicable), Strat Account management and strategic pricing
- Coordinative national task for the Privilege and Elite accounts according to agreement with other DPS business Units and Strategic Account Management
- Personnel responsibility of Shoulder and Sports Medicine sales and marketing: Performance Management, personnel strategy and planning
- A minimum of eight 8 years of commercial (sales and/or marketing or similar) experience is required. Background in Pharma or MD desirable
- A minimum 5 years team leadership experience needed
- Consistent track record of initiating, building and leading customer relationships
- Strong organizational leadership, with the ability to encourage, influence and mobilize teams
- Ability to shape the external environment through trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong ability to collaborate and lead across boundaries and ability to navigate in matrix environment
- Confirmed ability to successfully build strategies and lead implementation and execution in a dynamic environment with the appropriate sense of urgency and priority
- Consistent record of budget management
- Experience in owning the regional or local launch of a product or solution, knowledge in Medical device industry and surgical procedures is helpful
