Senior Account Manager- Neuroscience

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced pharmaceutical professional to join us and manage our South Island & Wellington territory.
Based from either Wellington or the South Island, as an Account Manager you will interact with allocated accounts to promote Janssen Neuroscience products and act as ambassador for the wider company. You will manage and develop the account, be a key participant in setting strategies and determining business plans related to assigned products or customers.
Key clients will include Psychiatrists and Mental Health Nurses in both Hospital and Community Mental Health based settings. You will work within a highly experienced cross functional team with a ‘one team’ approach and a high level of support and resource.
Reporting to the National Business Manager your key focus will be to:
- Achieve sales and activity goals for the territory
- Build and then maintain professional relationships with target customers
- Impart highly technical information to Psychiatrists and key Mental Health Nurses
- Implement a Key Account Management strategy to grow the business
- Deliver objectives and target through cross functional collaboration
Key to success in this position will be your proven ability to demonstrate the following in a complex environment:
- You will have an have in depth knowledge and experience in Mental Health and Maori and Pacific Island health views and experience through clinical practice combined with comprehensive business acumen OR a successful track record in pharmaceutical selling to Hospital Specialists and similar stakeholders
- The ability to anticipate customer needs and proactively address opportunities to drive increased business results
- Key account management experience and viewed by your stakeholder and customers as an expert in your product and therapeutic area
- The ability to partner effectively and influence at all levels building internal and external partnerships
- You will pride yourself on your ability to disseminate highly technical materials in order to share the relevant information with your customers.
